Meet and greet with new council, inaugural meeting

Members of the public are invited to a meet and greet with the new town council on Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The meet and greet will take place in the council chamber at town hall, 30 Lewis St., and will include light refreshments.
At 7 p.m., council will hold its inaugural meeting. This portion of the evening is by invitation only due to capacity requirements in the council chamber.
The town will livestream the inauguration on its website.
Toys for Tickets returns for another season

The Town of Wasaga Beach’s annual Toys for Tickets campaign launches Nov. 1 and runs until Dec. 10.
How does the campaign work?
Every person who receives a parking ticket – with the exception of accessibility parking violations – is eligible to participate in the program. In lieu of paying a fine, parking ticket recipients have an alternative option of purchasing a toy and bringing it to town hall at 30 Lewis St.

Wasaga Beach CAO retiring Nov. 14

Today, George Vadeboncoeur, chief administrative officer for the Town of Wasaga Beach, announced his retirement, effective Monday, Nov. 14.
Vadeboncoeur, a veteran civil servant with more than three decades of municipal experience, joined the town in the fall of 2005.

Bridge and trail revitalized thanks to $280,000 Community Building Fund grant

Friday, the Town of Wasaga Beach officially opened the revitalized Pridham Park Bridge and McIntyre Trail.
In 2021, the town received a $280,000 Community Building Fund-capital stream grant from the Government of Ontario and the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) to help with this revitalization work.
On Friday, MPP Brian Saunderson met with town officials to see the results of the work.
