River Road West and Village Gate Drive intersection improvements

Please be advised that the construction of the River Road West and Village Gate Drive intersection improvements are scheduled to resume on Monday September 12, 2022 and are anticipated to be complete by September 14, 2022.
A map identifying the location of works is provided below. Westview Paving has been awarded the contract to complete the work.

The following statement was issued today by Mayor Nina Bifolchi:
"On behalf of town council, staff, and all residents of Wasaga Beach, I extend deepest sympathies to The Queen’s family.
Her Majesty’s passing brings to a close a truly remarkable life – one devoted to service for so many decades.
Since 1952, Her Majesty has reigned as Queen of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth realms. Her several visits to Canada over the years – a country she loved dearly – remain a cherished memory for many.

“On behalf of the town, I thank Mike McWilliam for his efforts as our director of emergency services and fire chief. Mike served the department for a total of 33 years. Mike served as chief for 15 years and brought the department a long way under his leadership.

Remembrance Day banners: Call for nominations

The Town of Wasaga Beach and Rotary Club of Wasaga Beach are collaborating to present Remembrance banners that honour local veterans.
The banner project, initially launched in 2018, now features 14 veterans. The town will install the banners along Mosley St., west of Schoonertown Bridge.
