Town staff, public records, official channels give residents a direct way to check what they see and hear online

Ask Staff: Facts First, Straight from the Source

WASAGA BEACH – A post about a Town project gets shared. A claim about municipal taxes appears in a comment thread. Information about development, road work or a Council decision starts circulating online.

Sometimes it is accurate. Sometimes it is incomplete. Sometimes it is simply false.

The good news? Residents don't have to guess — they can go directly to the source.

The Town of Wasaga Beach is encouraging residents with questions about municipal projects, finances, services and decisions to connect directly with Town staff and use official Town information to check what they are seeing and hearing.

Residents have several ways to get information directly from the Town. They can follow the Town’s official social media accounts and subscribe to Town news and updates, watch Council meetings, or attend public meetings.

Residents can also meet one-on-one with the CAO during weekly office hours. Simply stop by Town Hall at 120 Glenwood Drive any Monday between 9 a.m. and noon — no appointment required.

The Town’s Ask Staff Anything video series is another way residents can get straightforward answers directly from the employees who lead Town projects, manage services, administer budgets and implement Council decisions every day.

Residents are invited to help shape future episodes of Ask Staff Anything by submitting questions in the comments on the Town’s social media channels or by emailing AskStaff@wasagabeach.com.
