Public Notification of Bypass, Overflow and Spill Events - June 11, 2026

This notification has been prepared in accordance with Environmental Compliance Approval 0766-CM9RQA issued February 16, 2023 for the Town of Wasaga Beach Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP). The purpose of this procedure is to notify the Public and Downstream Users that may be impacted by an overflow, bypass or spill event.

Cause of the Event

Equipment failure resulted in a small volume of treated wastewater to bypass part of the filtration process before being UV disinfected and discharged.
