Public Notification of Bypass, Overflow and Spill Events - August 3, 2026

This notification has been prepared in accordance with Environmental Compliance Approval 0766-CM9RQA issued February 16, 2023 for the Town of Wasaga Beach Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP). The purpose of this procedure is to notify the Public and Downstream Users that may be impacted by an overflow, bypass or spill event.

Cause of the Event

An extended high flow event occurred due to excessive heavy rainfall. Heavy flows were directed towards the WPCP and the disk filter #2 was unable to keep up with the surge in flow.
