Moving Wasaga Beach Forward

Wasaga Beach — The first of several public engagement meetings on the future of Wasaga Beach’s downtown and beachfront filled the RecPlex to capacity last night.

“It’s about more than simply protecting our citizens, lessening the burden of infrastructure investments on property owners and ensuring the financial sustainability of our community,” said CAO Andrew McNeill. “We need to build something here that is worthy of all of our amazing memories of Wasaga Beach – that will stand the test of time. We need to create and leave behind something more sustainable, inclusive and vibrant – where future generations can visit or live and work in a complete community and make their own memories.”

Maintaining a safe and healthy community and investing in essential infrastructure to support residents, businesses and sustainable growth, now and in the future, is a priority for Council and the focus of the 2023 Budget.
