Town’s proactive Doctor Recruitment Strategy maintains and expands access to primary care for 4000+ Wasaga Beach residents
Council Welcomes Third Doctor in Less Than Three Years
“We are proud to welcome Dr. Rogers to Wasaga Beach—Council understands what a difference this will make in the lives of 1,000 residents. Recruiting three new doctors in less than three years is an important milestone and clear evidence that Council’s innovative approach is working. While healthcare is a provincial responsibility, Council will keep doing everything we can to help residents get the care they need, close to home.”
Wasaga Beach, ON — Wasaga Beach is welcoming Dr. Stephanie Rogers to town. Dr Rogers is the third family physician to join the community since the launch of the Town’s innovative doctor recruitment strategy in August 2023.
After serving as a locum physician at the Ramblewood Medical Clinic since 2022, Dr. Rogers was formally accepted into the local Family Health Organization (FHO) in January 2026. She is taking over a 1000-patient roster from an outgoing physician ensuring those residents have consistent, long-term primary care.
“I’m very pleased to be joining the Wasaga Beach community and look forward to caring for patients here,” said Dr. Stephanie Rogers. “Providing comprehensive, relationship-based care is incredibly important to me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to establish my practice here and to support patients and families over the long term.”
Dr. Rogers joins Dr. Jacob McGavin and Dr. Yannick Charette, who are also providing family medicine services in Wasaga Beach through the Town’s doctor recruitment strategy. Together, they will serve more than 4,000 patients.
