  • The County of Simcoe will be hosting two Public Information Sessions on the status of the County Official Plan that was adopted in 2013 by County Council. The Official Plan is currently under appeal at the Ontario Municipal Board.

  • In order to support Council’s strategic initiatives for the 2014-2018 term pertaining to economic development and tourism, the Town undertook a reorganization of the Economic Development, Corporate Communications and Special Events functions.


  • The complexity of healthcare is increasing and now more than ever, strong, strategic governance leadership is required.  The Collingwood General and Marine Hospital (G&M) is seeking dynamic candidates for positions on the Board of Trustees.  The Board is composed of volunteers from the four municipalities served by the Hospital – Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Clearview and The Blue Mountains.

  • NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Wasaga Beach intends to pass a local improvement charges by-law for the construction of Robinson Road (referred to as "Phase 2" of the development servicing area) between 58th Street and Violet Street and the installation of services, as applicable.

  • ​As of April 15, 2015, all Ontario homes at risk of carbon monoxide (CO) exposure must have CO alarms installed near sleeping areas, or risk penalties.

  • The Town of Wasaga Beach has considered long range planning options to ease anticipated future traffic issues in the Town.  The purpose of the Class Environmental Planning Process (Schedule C) is to identify a Preferred Option for the possible future construction of both a multi-purpose bridge (10 year time frame - 2023) and a vehicular bridge (30 to 40 year time frame - 2043) crossing the Nottawasaga River at a location between the existing Schoonertown Bridge and the existing Main Street bridge.
