  • In order to address anticipated future traffic issues, the Town of Wasaga Beach will continue to consider long range planning (beyond the normal ten to twenty year planning forecast) for the possible future construction of a new bridge crossing the Nottawasaga River.

The Planning Process has identified and evaluated bridge design options (cross-sections and alignments) related to a crossing in the vicinity of the Powerline Road/18th Street area. Cross-section Option # 4 has been selected as the Preferred Solution. That Option involves the future construction of two (2), 4.75 m wide lanes on a vehicular bridge to be considered in 30 years, and a separate 3.0 m wide multi-purpose bridge to be considered in 10 years and/or as warranted by Council for active transportation connectivity.
