  • ​Improvements to the streetscaping and landscaping along Mosley Street at Beach Area One including the
    construction of wave wall features at the entrance to Festival Square, (former Playland Parking Lot) took place during the months of May and June. This is the first phase of a four year plan to improve the public spaces at the main end as a way of encouraging private sector investment in the lands that are privately held. In order to ensure minimal disruption to businesses in the area during the busy summer season, construction stopped at the end of June with all remaining construction scheduled to resume after the Labour Day weekend.

  • ​The Bay Sands Development Area of Wasaga Beach was established circa 1970 using a “checkerboard” pattern of land ownership (i.e. individually owned). It is a low density residential area consisting of 100 lots and is currently undeveloped.
