Proclamation: Falun Dafa Day 2025

May 13th is Proclaimed Falun Dafa Day

WHEREAS Falun Dafa is an advanced ancient exercise and meditation practice of mind, body, and spirit based on the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance; and

WHEREAS Falun Dafa has benefited both physically and spiritually to over 100 million people in over 114 countries around the world since its public introduction in China by Mr. Li Hongzhi in May 1992; and Falun Dafa transcends cultural and racial boundaries and contributes to a more peaceful, tolerant, and compassionate society; and

WHEREAS Falun Dafa practitioners’ determination and courage to stand up for Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance under the most severe environment has shown the world the value of life and the preciousness of human dignity; and

WHEREAS Falun Dafa practitioners with many different ethnic backgrounds, in the communities across Canada celebrate the Falun Dafa day on May 13^thand this year marks its 33^rd Anniversary.

NOW THEREFORE, I, Mayor Brian Smith, on behalf of the Council of the Town of Wasaga Beach, do hereby proclaim May 13^th as “Falun Dafa Day” in the Town of Wasaga Beach.
