Notice of Intention to Repeal a Designation By-law Under Section 31 of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. O.18
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Town of Wasaga Beach intends to repeal By-law #2007-60, which designates the property commonly known as “Beck Square”, and municipally addressed as 84 Mosley Street, Wasaga Beach, under Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990. A by-law to repeal this designation by-law is to be considered by Town of Wasaga Beach Council at its regular meeting to be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Legal Description of Property:
This property is located at 84 Mosley Street, Wasaga Beach, ON, and is legally described as: ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land, situate lying and being in the Town of Wasaga Beach, in the County of Simcoe, and being composed of Part of Lot 27 and Part of Georgian Avenue, Registered Plan 525, now described as Part 1, SIR-32220, deposited at Land Titles Division of Simcoe (No.51), September 2nd, 2003).
Reason for Repeal:
The intent to repeal the designation by-law applying to Beck Square is to facilitate the forthcoming revitalization of the Beachfront lands for mixed-use development, in the area located north of Mosley Street, south of Beach Drive, west of 1st Street, east of 3rd Street and surrounding Beck Square located at 84 Mosley Street, in the Town of Wasaga Beach.

Notice of Objection Procedure:
Any person may serve on the Clerk a Notice of Objection setting out the reasons for the objection and all relevant facts within 30 days after the date of publication.
The Notice of Objection must be filed with the Clerk by Monday, December 15 2025.
Objections can be filed with the Deputy Clerk by email at deputyclerk@wasagabeach.com or in writing at the Town of Wasaga Beach: 30 Lewis Street, Wasaga Beach Ontario, Canada L9Z 1A1.
A Notice of Objection will then be considered by Council in its deliberation on the matter.
