Growing Forward Together

The Engineering Services Division helps plan and manage the infrastructure that keeps Wasaga Beach running smoothly. From stormwater systems and roads to municipal servicing and future planning, the team oversees key capital projects and ensures they meet long-term community needs.

Capital Works Projects

Our Capital Works Projects help shape the future of Wasaga Beach by planning and delivering important infrastructure improvements. Over the next 10 years (and beyond), these projects will focus on road construction, water and sewer servicing, and stormwater drainage upgrades.

While timelines may shift depending on funding, annual budgets, and Council approval, these efforts are guided by current priorities to ensure our community stays safe, connected, and well-serviced.

Current Projects

Downtown Wasaga Beach & Beach Area 1

We’re reimagining Ontario’s summer playground, including a fresh look for Beach Drive. Things may look a little different, but there’s plenty to enjoy!

River Road West Urbanization

Construction activities are on-going for the reconstruction of River Road West from Veterans Way to Blueberry Trail. Significant delays may be expected along River Road West and motorists are advised to use the alternate route (via Main Street and Mosley Street).

West End Watermain Looping

The construction project for the West End Watermain Looping, on Beachwood Road, is scheduled to commence in late August, weather permitting. The works will include installation of watermain and sanitary sewer, installation of sanitary and watermain services, and clearing of existing trees and brush within the work areas.

Mapleside Drive Local Improvements

Mapleside Drive improvements consist of clearing and grubbing the site and installation of a 20m Right of Way on Mapleside Drive, Orchid Drive, and Lilac Street.
