Making sure your sign meets local requirements
A building permit is required for certain signs, including those that are structurally supported, illuminated, or exceed a specific size. Permit applications must include design details, structural specifications, and site plans to ensure compliance with the Ontario Building Code and the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Sign Bylaw.
In addition to a building permit, a sign permit from the By-Law Division may also be required. Applicants should contact the By-Law Division for more information on sign regulations and approval requirements.
Require Building Permit with Engineering
- Signs exceeding 1.8m in height
- Roof signs that have a face that is more than 10 square meters
- Projecting signs weighing more than 25kg
- Projecting sign attached in any manner to a parapet wall
