The Memories Project
The Memories Project celebrates and preserves the history of Wasaga Beach through a series of storytelling initiatives and the Town’s archives collection. Spanning from the early 1800s to today, the archives collection features photographs, newspapers, maps, documents, artwork, postcards, books, and other memorabilia that tell the story of our evolving community.
In addition to the online collection, a selection of exhibits is also on display at Town Hall, providing visitors with even more opportunities to explore Wasaga Beach’s rich history. As materials continue to be digitized, more of the Town's collection becomes accessible online. Requests to view specific items can be made by contacting the Archives Coordinator.

Building our Future
Wasaga Beach is entering a pivotal and transformational moment as the Town moves forward with Destination Wasaga, a long-term effort to reimagine the waterfront and strengthen the community as a globally recognized, four-season destination.
At the same time, The Memories Project ensures that the stories, heritage, and lived experiences that shaped Wasaga Beach remain an essential part of that journey forward. By sharing photographs, memories, and personal stories from residents, the project will help preserve and celebrate the town’s unique identity as it evolves.
Residents are encouraged to explore Wasaga Beach’s history through the Town’s interactive story timeline, which highlights key moments in the community’s development and the transformation underway today.
