Weekly waste collection with a limit of 1 untagged bags (effective September 29th, 2008), any additional bags must have County garbage tags affixed.
Simcoe County garbage tags will be available for $3.00 each, sold in sheets of 5 tags.
Leaf and yard waste must be placed in Kraft paper leaf bags or open top rigid containers. NO PLASTIC BAGS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

A: The County of Simcoe is responsible for waste management and collection services.

Q: Are dump passes (or vouchers) still available for pickup at the Public Works Department or Chamber of Commerce?
A: The County of Simcoe has discontinued the Dump Pass or Voucher System, effective January 1st, 2013. You may take the articles to the landfill site directly and dispose of them, at the current disposal rate or take advantage of the "New" Bulky Item Collection which is available from June through to September.

A maximum of five items, per scheduled collection, must be placed curbside by 7 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.
The cost is $35.00 per scheduled pick up and payment is required at the time of booking with the County of Simcoe.

Q: Who do I contact to obtain recycling containers?
A: If you are a new resident, please contact the Customer Service Department at the County of Simcoe, to register as a new resident and they will make arrangements to deliver all your recycling bins. Additional bins are available at the County Landfill site, at the current established fees.

A: Replacement Recycle Bins can be purchased at the Nottawasaga Landfill Site, located on Side Road 30/31, off Hwy 26, north of Stayner, Ontario.

A: Composters may be purchased at the Nottawasaga Landfill Site, located on Side Road 30/31, off Hwy 26, north of Stayner, Ontario. Current prices may be obtained by calling the County of Simcoe customer service line.

A: The County Landfill Site is located off of Highway 26, between Wasaga Beach and Stayner, on 30/31 Side road (County Road 64).

A: Bag Tags can be purchased at the Public Works Department at 150 Westbury Road, or at the Treasury Department at 30 Lewis Street.

Q: I did not receive a County of Simcoe Waste Management calendar. Where could I obtain one?
A: The calendars are mailed out every January/February by the County of Simcoe.
If your calendar was not received, you may pick one up at the Town's Public Works Office (150 Westbury Road) or at the Administration Office (30 Lewis Street).
