Municipal Law Enforcement is responsible for the enforcement of the Town's By-laws, proactively and through the investigation of complaints.
Complaints can be filed by email, regular mail or in person at the Town Hall Office. Phone complaints will only be accepted if the matter is urgent and requires immediate attention (i.e. fire and noise related concerns).

Q: Animal control – Domestic; Who do I call for a stray dog or cat?
A: The Town of Wasaga Beach provides Animal Control Services 24 hours a day 7 days a week and can be contacted at
705-429-2511. The contracted Animal Control Officer responds to calls related to dog's found to be at large (off owners property) and deceased animals (including wildlife) on municipal property and roadways within the Town of Wasaga Beach.
The Animal Control Officer is not responsible for calls related to wildlife on private property, rabid wildlife or cats.
The Animal Control Officer is also not responsible for animals within the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park and complaints should be forwarded to the Park Office at

A: For questions or to report concerns about Wildlife please contact the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) at

To report Bear problems please contact the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) BEARWISE program at
1-866-514-BEAR (2327). For an immediate emergency please call the Ontario Provincial Police at
1-888-310-1122 or 911 if required.

A: The Town of Wasaga Beach provides Animal Control Services 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
The contracted Animal Control Officer responds to calls related to deceased animals (including wildlife) on municipal property and roadways within the Town of Wasaga Beach.
Q: Animal control – Rabid animals; Who do I call to report a suspected rabid animal?
