Volunteering for Recreation, Events & Facilities

Make a difference in your community!

We are looking for friendly and outgoing individuals to volunteer for our recreation programs and community events. The Town offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year and is always looking for energetic and talented volunteers to share their skills and time to assist us in serving the Wasaga Beach community.

Events, Recreation & Library Programs

Our volunteer opportunities are ideal for students seeking community service hours, for adults who enjoy participating in volunteer activities, and for anyone looking to make a difference in the community. You decide how much or how little time you would like to commit and which role you would like to take on. To join our growing team of volunteers CLICK HERE here to register.

Support by the Ontario Trillium foundation

The ivolunteer@wasagabeach initiative has been support by the Ontario Trillium foundation. The funding received has been a true contribution to the inception of this program and is a key element of its overall success.  Through this one year program that began February of 2017 the Town has provided volunteer opportunities to 147 new volunteers who have contributed over 2500 hours of service.  OTF has also provided funding to hire a part time staff to look after these volunteers to ensure they have a positive experience while donating their time.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is an agency of the Government of Ontario, and one of Canada’s largest granting foundations. With a budget of over $136 million, OTF awards grants to some 1,000 projects every year to build healthy and vibrant Ontario communities.
