The Town Public Works Department's areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to,
Water distribution system maintenance
Sanitary sewer collection system maintenance
Storm water management and collection system
Winter maintenance such as snow plowing/removal and sanding/salting
Road maintenance such as road patching, sweeping and cleaning, shouldering, tree trimming, roadside mowing
Sidewalk, signage and traffic signal maintenance
- Drainage works and improvements
Road Occupancy Permits
Any work proposed on Town rights-of-way by residents or contractors such as driveway paving, culvert installation, ditching, material storage, etc. requires a Road Occupancy Permit obtainable from the Public Works Department.

Roads & Sidewalks FAQs
Q: Inquiries related to winter control operations. For example, levels of service, which roads are plowed and when, and sidewalk winter maintenance.
Q: Who do I report snow plow damage to?
A: Please contact the Public Works Office to report any damage caused by a snow plow.
The request for repair will then be placed on a repair list, which will be investigated and completed in the spring, if warranted.

Q: Where do I report burnt out street lights or traffic signals?
A: Please contact the Public Works Office to report any concerns with street lighting or traffic signals. Please provide an exact address/location of where the problem exists.
