Public Notice - Stop-up, closure and sale of a portion of a road allowance known as part of River Road West
Notice is hereby given that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Wasaga Beach at its meeting held on March 10, 2022, declared a portion of River Road West, more particularly described as PT LT 16 RCP 1694 Wasaga Beach, being Part 2 on Plan 51R-43223, surplus to its needs. The Town now wishes to stop-up, close and sell the said portion of River Road West as noted above.

This notification has been prepared in accordance with Environmental Compliance Approval 5669-BWJPYC issued February 5, 2021 for the Wasaga Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant. The purpose of this procedure is to notify the Public and Downstream Users that may be impacted by an overflow, bypass or spill event.

Anstey family contributes to twin-pad arena and library project

The Town of Wasaga Beach is pleased to announce the Anstey family has donated $10,000 to the twin-pad arena and library fundraising campaign.
“We are grateful for this very generous contribution from a family that has a deep historical connection to recreation in our community,” Mayor Nina Bifolchi said.
The donation is in memory of Doug Anstey, one of the original partners who built the Wasaga Stars Arena in the early 1970s. Privately constructed, the town purchased the facility in 1977. Read...

The Town of Wasaga Beach’s 2022 municipal election webpage is now active.
“The page is a one-stop location for people to access information about the municipal election,” said Dina Lundy, director of legislative services and returning officer for the Town of Wasaga Beach. “We encourage everyone to visit the page, and subscribe to receive further updates as the year progresses.
