WATER TURN ON/OFF REQUESTS
You
must call the Public Works Office to have your water turned on or off,
giving 24 hours notice. For water turn offs, please drain your pipes
after the water is shut off. For residents who have water meters,
please loosen the bases on your water meter to allow the water to drain.
To
qualify as "seasonal", the Town must turn the service off prior to
December 1st and then turn the service on after April 1st, the
following spring at a cost of $40.00. If the turn off occurs after
December 1st and the turn on occurs before April 1st, the following
spring, the fee is $20.00 (+ GST) per call during regular business
hours.
For water turn ons, residents must be present
If
anyone wishes to repair his own meter base, he can purchase the base
and gasket at the Chamber of Commerce Office at 550 River Road West or
the Public Works Office at 150 Westbury Road.
