Routes
Wasaga Beach Transit operates on 2 continuous overlaping loops with a bus transfer system and each direction operates on a 30 minute cycle.
This service begins at 7am and runs until 7pm, 7 days a week.
Route 1 starts at Shoppers Drug Mart on 45th Street, travels South to Knox Road and makes a stop at the Medical Centre. The bus then travels East along Knox Road to Sunnidale Road, turns North to Mosley Street and then proceeds East to the Riverbend Plaza continuing along Mosley Street to the Stonebridge Town Centre. After stopping at the Stonebridge Town Centre, the bus travels North on Stonebridge Blvd. to River Road East to Deerbrook Drive. The return trip travels along the same route in the opposite direction. Route 1 runs daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Route 2 starts at the Wasaga Stars Arena and travels West along River Road West to the Stonebridge Town Centre. After stopping at the Stonebridge Town Centre, the bus travels along Main Street to River Road West to the Riverbend Plaza continuing along Mosley Street to Highway 26. At 45th Street the bus stops at Shoppers Drug Mart, the Medical Centre and the Superstore. The return trip travels along the same route in the opposite direction.
From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Route 2 bus diverts along Blueberry Trail, Caribou Trail and Silverbirch Avenue. During this period there is no service along River Road West between Blueberry Trail and Silverbirch Avenue. Route 2 offers the option of being dropped and picked-up at the Library upon passenger request. Route 2 runs daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Existing bus stop signs will remain in place. As the enhanced service is a 6 month trial, there will be only a few signs installed at prominent places along the new routes. Where bus signs are not installed along the new routes, please flag down the bus. Additionally, a bus transfer system has been introduced allowing passengers to transfer between routes without paying an additional fare. Transfers are good for an approximate 45 minute time period. Transfer points are located where the buses meet and are as follows:
