Wasaga Beach Municipal Law Enforcement Officers are available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week to address issues regarding Animal Control, Noise and Parking issues

Municipal Law Enforcement is responsible for the enforcement of the Town's By-laws, proactively and through the investigation of complaints.

Complaints can be filed by email, regular mail, by phone or in person at the Town Hall Office.



Animal Control FAQs

Q: Animal control – Domestic; Who do I call for a stray dog or cat?

A: The Town of Wasaga Beach provides Animal Control Services 24 hours a day 7 days a week and can be contacted at Phone705-429-2511. The contracted Animal Control Officer responds to calls related to dog's found to be at large (off owners property) and deceased animals (including wildlife) on municipal property and roadways within the Town of Wasaga Beach. 

The Animal Control Officer is not responsible for calls related to wildlife on private property, rabid wildlife or cats. 

The Animal Control Officer is also not responsible for animals within the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park and complaints should be forwarded to the Park Office at Phone705-429-2516

Q: Animal control – Wildlife; Who do I call for wildlife such as deer, bear, skunks or racoons?

A: For questions or to report concerns about Wildlife please contact the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) at Phone1-800-667-1940 or visit their website at www.mnr.gov.on.ca

To report Bear problems please contact the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) BEARWISE program at Phone1-866-514-BEAR (2327).  For an immediate emergency please call the Ontario Provincial Police at Phone1-888-310-1122 or 911 if required.

Q: Animal control – Dead animals; Who do I call to report a dead animal on property or roadway?

A: The Town of Wasaga Beach provides Animal Control Services 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

The contracted Animal Control Officer responds to calls related to deceased animals (including wildlife) on municipal property and roadways within the Town of Wasaga Beach.

Q: Animal control – Rabid animals; Who do I call to report a suspected rabid animal?

A: To report possible cases of rabies or if you have been in contact with a rabid animal; please contact the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit at
