Is there a by-law establishing the number of dogs permitted per household in Wasaga Beach?
By-law 2002-63 regulates and controls animals within the Town of Wasaga Beach and establishes that a household may have two dogs.

Where do I obtain a landfill voucher?
Property owners are permitted two vouchers per year (each valued at $25.00). You may obtain your vouchers by attending the Public Works Office (with personal identification), 150 Westbury Road, during the week or on the weekends (with your current Wasaga Beach tax bill) at the Chamber of Commerce office, 550 River Road West.

Can I rent my home as a vacation property?
Properties that are zoned for single family dwelling use may not be rented as accommodation for the travelling or vacationing public as this is considered a commercial activity and is not permitted.

Why do I need a building permit?
A building permit ensures that all developments in the community meet the health, fire, structural and general safety standards in order to protect individuals and the community as a whole. It is illegal to start work without a permit. Anyone who begins working without a building permit is in contravention of The Ontario Building Code Act and therefore, subject to financial and legal consequences.
