Departmental Overview

The Town Public Works Department's areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to,
  • Water distribution system maintenance
  • Sanitary sewer collection system maintenance
  • Storm water management and collection system
  • Winter maintenance such as snow removal and sanding
  • Summer maintenance such as road patching, sweeping and cleaning
  • Sidewalk, signage and traffic signal maintenance
  • Pavement markings
  • Road construction
    • Road Occupancy Permits
    Any work proposed on Town rights-of-way by residents or contractors such as driveway paving, culvert installation, ditching, etc. requires a Road Occupancy Permit obtainable from the Public Works Department.
