Wasaga Artist Meetings & Workshops

Wasaga Artists meet Tuesdays, September to June, from 1pm to 4pm at the Wasaga RecPlex for creative inspiration and social feedback. Members work on their art of choice in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. A variety of workshops and demos, as well as three annual shows, help promote the visual arts in our community. Guided Night Snowshoe Hikes

Location: Scenic Caves Nature Adventures

Strap on your snowshoes for a night-time hike, where stars and shadows create a dramatic setting for adventure. Professional staff members guide your group on a 1 ½ to 2 hour romp through an enchanting winter wonderland. Experience beautiful trails that wind through a mature forest of 100 foot tall trees, sparkling views of the countryside at the Suspension Bridge and breathtaking lookouts from the top of the Niagara Escarpment. No experience is required and the pace is moderate. Recommended for ages 8-10 and older.  Night snowshoe hikes are scheduled for most Saturday nights and run weather-permitting. If there is no snow, guests will be advised to wear hiking boots instead.  Cost: $40 with snowshoe rental; $30 without. Magic Show and Mad Science Lab

Monthly Movie Night- The Gold Rush

If you haven't seen this movie yet, you absolutely need to! Written, produced, directed and starring Charlie Chaplin, this comedy is sure to bring smiles to all ages. This film has a 100% rating on Rotton Tomatoes as well as being one of the most important films in cinema history.The Gold Rush received Academy Award nominations for Best Music and Best Sound Recording upon its re-release in 1942. It is today one of Chaplin's most celebrated works, and he himself declared several times that it was the film for which he most wanted to be remembered. Easter Eggstravaganza

​Easter Eggstravaganza: Saturday, April 15. 10am-3pm indoors and outdoors at the Wasaga Beach RecPlex. The Easter egg hunt begins at 10:30 am sharp, weather permitting and each child will receive a great prize bag courtesy of local businesses (first come; first served until supplies last!)! There will be a special treat for the lucky children who find one of 'Golden Eggs"! Grilling up burgers and hot dogs and serving popcorn and candy floss is the Wasaga Beach Youth Centre Grill Team. A small fee will be charged for this charity BBQ and proceeds will be put back into programming for the Youth Centre. FREE activities include the Easter egg hunt, puppet show, face painting, petting zoo, horse and wagon rides, bouncy castle, obstacle course, rock climbing wall, and more.

Scouts Soap Box Derby
