Waste services for Wasaga Beach fall within the mandate of the County of Simcoe.
General Information

weekly waste collection with a limit of 2 untagged bags, any additional bags must have County garbage tags affixed.

Simcoe County garbage tags will be available for $2.00 each, sold in sheets of 5 tags.

leaf and yard waste collections annually with waste placed in Kraft
paper leaf bags or open top rigid containers. NO PLASTIC BAGS WILL BE
ACCEPTED.

GLASS BOTTLES AND JARS - remove caps and lids. Rinse containers and place loose in blue box. Please remove and discard straws

PAINT CANS - let small amounts of paint dry in the can. Knock out dry
paint and put it in the garbage. Remove lids and place cans loose in
blue box

TUBS AND LIDS (up to 4 litres or 1 gallon maximum) with these symbols

MAGAZINES, CATALOGUES, PHONE BOOKS, HOUSEHOLD FINE PAPER - you can
recycle glossy magazines, flyers, paper back books, writing paper,
computer paper and white envelopes with the plastic film removed.

BOXBOARD
- remove plastic or wax paper inserts and liners from cereal, detergent
and shoe type boxes. Toilet paper and paper towel rolls are boxboard,
too. Flatten and stuff into a boxboard box. Place next to your blue
box

CORRUGATED CARDBOARD - layered
cardboard with a ripple between the layers. NO waxes cardboard.
Flatten and tie into bundles (maximum size 30" X 30" X 8", maximum of 3
bundles). Place beside blue box

Scheduled collection days, as noted above, will remain throughout the
year except when the public is advised otherwise by the County of
Simcoe. A notice will be posted on this web site. If you require

The County of Simcoe provides leaf and yard waste pick-up twice each year
FALL YARD WASTE COLLECTION WEEK: November 26-30, 2007
IMPORTANT: Leaf and Yard Waste must be at the curbside by 7:00 a.m. on MONDAY of your collection week.
ACCEPTABLE
CONTAINERS: Plant material, leaves, grass, pumpkins, straw bales,
cornstalks and brush trimmings that are no larger than 8 mm (5/16") in
diameter are accepted. Place them in kraft paper yard waste bags,
unwaxed cardboard boxes or any rigid open top container (except a Blue
Box).
These items are NOT collected as yard waste:

kitchen waste
-
rocks, dirt, branches, stumps

painted or treated wood
-
trimming larger than 8 mm (5/16") diameter
-
flower pots
-
animal feces
-
non-organic materials (metals, styrofoam, plastics, etc.)
