equipped with four tennis courts, tournament horseshoe pits, picnic and
play areas, outdoor winter skating rink. Beautiful park setting with
loads of parking.
...during the summer months, a satellite Visitor Information Centre operates from the Oakview Woods building.

mid December through to March Break, weather permitting, the outdoor
rink at the Oakview Woods is operating in full swing.
Wasaga Beach RecPlex Oakview Community Centre

...Phase
I contains an 8,300 square foot multi-purpose room for cultural,
sporting, trade and social events. The hall is divisible by an
acoustic, separating moveable wall. For outside concerts, consider the
covered band shell. Phase I is entirely barrier free, sprinklered and
alarmed.
...Phase II, the existing Oakview with its 2,002 square foot auditorium is completely renovated and ready to host any event.
...Phase
III will be an aquatic and fitness complex to be completed in the early
fall of 2006. This phase will include a four lane 25 metre swimming
pool, a play pool, a hot tub, change and storage rooms, viewing,
supervisory and administration areas as well as a fitness area.
Wasaga Sports Park & Fernbrook Centre

five full size ball diamonds, four full size soccer fields, six mini
soccer fields, a playground, a floating dock and canoe launch. The
Fernbrook Centre is equipped with washrooms, a food concession and a
100 person capacity meeting hall.

Wasaga Stars Arena

year round ice, a 182 person auditorium and camp accommodations with a
96 person capacity rec hall on site. Plenty of parking. Hockey and
figure skating camps are held during the summer months.
The Parks
& Recreation Bi-Annual brochures offer details on public skating,
adult skating, mens shinny hockey, parent and tots at the Wasaga Stars
Arena as well as pleasure skating and shinny hockey at the seasonal
Oakview Woods outdoor skating rink.

Wasage Beach Skateboard Park
located at Oakview Woods
(beside the RecPlex at 1724 Mosley Street)
The skateboard park is located on the outdoor ice rink at Oakview Woods.
The
seasonal park will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., May 1 to
October 31. The skatepark is lit but is not supervised. Skateboarders
will "use at their own risk". Helmets must be worn. Bikes are
strictly prohibited in the park.
